Memories with my mother

I remember the first time you took me on a trip to Tonga to meet the rest of the family. I remember when you made me laugh and when you also taught me how to speak in Tongan.

I also remember when I got a scar and you took me to Starship. You also taught me how to read and to do a Tongan dance.

I have never forgotten the day when I had a very bad fever and I could not eat because I was just never hungry and you were so worried that you stayed off work to take me to starship and to take care of me. You have always been there to sign my forms for school whenever you have time to do it.

You always had faith in me and you always support me in anything I do. You are my role model. You always come to my goal setting and you also try and push me to be better than you and you are doing a very good job.

You teach me what is right and what is wrong. If I get homework from school you are always there to help me.

A sweet cold dessert smelling so delicious. I took one bite and I felt like I was in a fridge. It is so cold that it freezes your teeth once you take one bite. But my favorite part is the wafer.

I am Malala

I am inspired by Malala because she had the courage to stand up to a Taliban pointing a gun at her head and said I am Malala. I am also inspired by Malala because she never gives up on what she believes in. Where Malala comes from one of the rules were that girls are not allowed to learn and get an education but she kept going to school. I wish that I was Malala because she got to meet a lot of superstars and she also got to meet Obama.

The long weekend

WALT: Write about the long weekend

On the Easter monday I went to Point England beach

I went with my family and had a big feed.

We wanted to celebrate Easter and give out chocolate bunnies

But my parents had no money.

My parents did not care as long as the weather was better

So we carried on with our day and played a game using letters.

After our game we decided to go for a swim

So we got into our togs and ran in.

After our swim the food was ready to eat

But we first had a competition but the parents started to cheat.

After the competition my cousin rushed to the food

But my mum said there last because they stole her bracelet that fell in the pool.

After we ate my cousins were full

We played a game but no one followed the rules.

After our game we started to pack

Because it was time to go back.

Once we got home I went to sleep

But something woke me up when I dreamt of a black sheep.

I tried to go back to my amazing dream

But I felt like Ice cream so I crawled to the kitchen and started to eat.

WALT: revise fractions, decimals and percentages.

Today we played a maths card game on the mat. We had to get in a circle and grab one card from the center and try to make one whole set. You only need four cards that are the same in fractions, percentages, decimals and in decimat. It was difficult for me because I had three cards that are the same and I only needed one more card. Next I would like to learn how to divide three digit numbers by one.
