Our last activity was outdoor games. We got to play with the games that kids played in the 1800s. The most things that the toys were made out of was wood and string. We all enjoyed it and had a blast. If I had another chance to go I would take it.

Butter making
Our third activity was butter making. We made delicious butter and put our own logo on it. My group and I learnt that they used a churner to whisk the butter in the 1800s. It took for long to mix the butter but it was worth it. After we made the butter we got a chance to taste it with some crunchy crackers.

Schools in the 1800s
Our second destination was going to school. Learning how they use things to learn and their punishments were very interesting. After a while we got use what the children used to write in the 1800s. They wrote on smooth rock, no paper, no pencil and technology.

Toys
On Tuesday the whole of the senior side went to Howick Historical Village. Our first activity was learning and playing with toys they made in the olden days. Nearly All of the toys were made out of wood and glass. It was fun learning about them and getting the chance to play with them.
