Statistical Investigation
Google map Screenshot
|
Walt: conduct a statistical investigation.
We used google maps to determine the walking distance to 124 Apirana Avenue. This is the entrance to the Omaru Creek that we are studying. The screenshot shows the route, distance and time from my house to the creek is 700m to get there and it also takes 9 minutes to get there. Jolie lives the close it is 550m to walk to 124 Apirana Avenue and it takes 7 minutes to get there. Harrison lives furthest so he has to train to Glen Innes then it will take him 7 minutes to get there and 550m to walk to 124 Apirana Avenue and it takes. Next, we will be calculating the mean and the median.

Softball
At our school the some year 8 and 7 were chosen to go to the inter school softball at Mount wellington wall memorial park. I think that our school did well because we won three games, drew one game and lost one game. I really enjoyed.

Badminton
On Wednesday it was our last day of badminton. I learnt how to do the backhand grip and the four hand grip. I have also learnt how to serve using the backhand grip and the four hand grip. Learning how to play and learning new techniques was fun and I will definitely use them if I play badminton with my family or verse my neighbors.

Being good with my money
Today I have learnt about being good with my money. I can be good with my money by saving it for emergencies. In the future I will try my hardest to make good decisions with my money. I will give advice to my siblings because they spend their money a lot instead of saving it. Anina did well teaching me me on how to be good with my money.
