Pastle art
For the past two days my class and I have been doing pastel art for this weeks art lesson. The aim of this art lesson was to learn how to blend. This is the best art I have did so far and the best thing about it is that every mistake I made could be covered without being erased. When sketching you have to erase some of your mistakes and it sometimes leaves a outline of your mistake. I really enjoyed it and hope to do this again for art.

No accelerationš¢
For this term's strand test I got a 4P and I also got a 4P in strand last term. That wasn’t that bad at least I did not decelerate but not going to lie I am a bit made I did not accelerate. I am still going to work hard and work on my mistakes this year so that next year I will be prepared and score at the national standard or above.

Chemical change - eggs
For today’s chemical change experiment we made a breakfast cup. To make this we use
- Bread
- Baked beans
- Eggs
- Spring onion
We new that their was a chemical change because there was colour change, it was irreversible, there was temperature change the substance change. This was fun to do even though I did not eat it. I hope to do another experiment like this for chemical change again.

Elephant toothpaste
For today’s reading we made elephant toothpaste. To make this we used:
- Warm water
- Two packs of yeast
- Red food colouring
- Dishwashing liquid
- Hydrogen peroxide
We had to mix them in two different cups and then join them together to make the toothpaste flow over the cup. Our group had the best elephant toothpaste because our toothpaste over flew in a slow paced and it looked cool. I really enjoyed doing this experiment and I hope to do it again.

Prototec
I have not accelerated in maths I have dropped. On my previous test I scored 85% but this term I scored 80%. I need to work on simplifying my fractions. By the end of the year I want to be at or above the national standard because it will mean I have accelerated in maths and I will also make my family proud. I am going to work hard towards my goal to make my family and myself proud.

Henna art
For our art we got into groups of two and drew a easy simple henna design on each other. We have been waiting for this day and it finally came because our teacher forgot. We used a henna liquid that our teacher bought. I drew a henna design on my friend's hand and I also did it on myself. I really enjoyed doing this and I hope to do it again.

Chemical change
Walt: write a paragraph on chemical changes.
For the past few days we have been learning about chemical change. I know that chemical change is when you combine two or more things together and it can never be reversed back. For today's lesson we made pancakes in the hall to prove that there is science in cooking.
We knew that there was a chemical change when we combined the ingredients together because the substance changed and when we added heat to it the there was a bubbles and that meant the release of gas. We also knew that there was chemical change because the colour changed.

The Best Pet
My opinion on a best pet is a dog for these reasons. Firstly is the entertainment. It could entertain you by doing tricks. Second is that it could keep me company if i’m alone. Thirdly is protection. It could protect my family and I from something or someone dangerous when I am walking or sleeping during the day or even at night. Fourth is a great friend. It could be a great friend when you are down and feeling blue or even when you're happy and full of energy. Last but not least is help. It could help you with so many things especially fetch your things if you are injured.

How I would like to be remembered?
It’ll be my last term this year at Glen Innes School and I want to be remembered for good reasons. I want to be remembered for the good things and not the menace student. I want to be remembered as the student who the teachers are always talking about for good reasons. Leaving this school being remembered for good things will make my family proud and not be ashamed and also be a great role model to younger students. I want to leave this school being remembered of a lot of things but these are my main reasons.
Firstly is a caring student. I want to be remembered as the student who cared for others. Who always put others before herself. The student who helped others whether if it's outside or in class. Being a caring student could show others that their is always someone there for them. That is what I want to be remembered as.
Secondly is the attentive student. I want to be remembered as a student who payed close attention when someone is talking and actually learn something from them. Leaving this school known as a attentive student won’t only mean that I achieved one of my goals but also means that I did something right in my life.
Thirdly is a hard working student. I want to be remembered as the student who was hardworking and worked towards her dream. I want to be remembered as a student who was always prepared to work and worked hard to make her family proud not ashamed. The student who younger students looked up to.
In conclusion these are my three main reasons on what I want to be remembered of. These three main reasons of being remembered will make my family proud and not ashamed. I could also be a role model to younger students. I think that being a caring, attentive and hardworking student will help me in life to get through university and etc.

Rangoli art
Walht: understand celebrations around the world.
Diwali is the biggest Hindu celebration. It is also known as the festival of lights. It’s a five day celebration and it started on the 18th and ends on the 22th of October. This Hindu celebration is celebrated all around the world. I know this because our class has been studying about it for a couple of days.
Hindus all over the world celebrate diwali but most people celebrate by using coloured powder or broken rice to design a rangoli pattern in front of their door to welcome people into their house. They also celebrate by cleaning their house to welcome the gods, lighting fireworks, decorating their house with lights and candles, giving away gifts, making sweets and ect.
For Diwali week our class celebrated by drawing rangoli patterns in front of our class door using chalk. We got into a group of two but some others choose to work solo. The image above is my partner’s and I rangoli. We worked together to get a great a rangoli pattern. My favourite rangoli pattern was Janet’s one. Her rangoli was one of the best in my opinion.
Learning about this made me more aware about other celebrations. Diwali is a bit similar to Christmas because we give away gifts, we have dinner together and sometimes light up fireworks. I really had fun doing this and I hope to do this again but for a different celebration.

Meditation time
For the last three terms we have been doing meditation for 3 - 5 minutes after our breaks. We come in and sit quietly and close our eyes. I really do think that meditation after our breaks has really helped me improve. After our breaks and we come in I was always use to focus on what happened outside 50% and focus on my work 50%. Now that we do meditation I am 100% more focus on my work.

Victory is ours
It was a freezing night as I stretched in hall waiting patiently as two men set up the Volleyball net. My palms start to sweat as many thoughts flow inside my head. As I was stretching I thought of what Mr De Toit said to me at dinner.
He said, “Are you gonna take one for the team and maybe make your knee even worse or not play and support on the sideline.” There was a minute left on the clock and I finally made my decision to play. I joined the circle and girls jump up and down with a smile on their face as Mr Hendricks gives us a pep talk. A minute later and the buzzer went off it was time to start the game.
Maeroa Intermediate was ready and so was our girls. Maeroa serves a weak serve and we received it and played it three times. They came back with a powerful spike into a open gap and win the point. Our heads drop as we cover our face with our sweaty hands.
Mr Hendrick’s and Mrs Ramkolowan on the side lines screeching out, “Heads Up girls and receive the ball.”
The next serve was powerful but we managed to win the point. The game went on to fifteen points. As time flew by the score was 14 Maeroa and 13 Glen Innes. I began to feel butterflies in my stomach and my hands start to sweat. I get into a steady position as they get ready to serve. Maeroa finally serves the ball. I receive it with a dig but the ball flies out. My head drop as Madero's supporters rubb the first win in our face.
Mr Hendricks on the sideline Scratching out, “Heads up girls that was only one set win the next.”
Our girls a ready to receive the serve. We come back with a powerful spike that no one could receive. We win the first point. As the game went on 14 for Glen Innes and 14 for Maeroa. It was a tie. Maeroa serves the ball. We spike the ball over the net but Maeroa receives it. I tried to volley it over but it rolls back behind me. Maeroa celebrates the win every one jumping up and down with their hand in the air. The ref blows the whistle but noone can hear him over the loud screams.
He blows it again and howls, “That was not a win, in order to win you have to win by two more points.”
That was our chance. We start the game and win the first point just one more to go. We win the next point. Everyone celebrates besides Maeroa. It was the next set. We swap sides with Maeroa. We get in our positions. Maeroa was already ready and they had their game face on. We serve the ball and win the first point.
Our supporters on the side screeching, “Let's go G.O, let's go” over and over.
As time flies by Glen Innes with a score of 12 and Maeroa with a score a of 9. It was my turn to serve. I could feel butterflies in my stomach as my hands start to sweat. I had so many thoughts flowing inside of my head. My knee starts to ache as I limp behind the line. I serve the ball and win us a point. I serve again but this time is more powerful. I win the next point again. Last point and we won the finals. I could feel my knee getting worse and worse but I try and hide the pain because I didn’t want to come off. Mr. De Toit on sideline cheering me on.
I serve the ball with all my power. Maeroa reserves it but the ball flies out. Everyone start jumping in the air. Hands in the air screaming and crying.
“HURRAY” everyone screeched out loud.
We win the trophy again. We all leave the hall for supper with a smile everyone patting our backs and congratulating us. “What a night, we just made the best memory ever” I said to my team mates.

Circle vocabulary
For today’s maths we had to create a crossword puzzle based on circle vocabulary. When I finished creating my puzzle I gave it to friend to finish it. She scored 63 stars and got it all right and made no mistakes. She said it was easy for her. It was easy to create and I really enjoyed it. I hope to do this again but for reading.

Drawing concentric circles
For todays maths lesson we learnt how to draw concentric circles but the main idea of this lesson was learning how to use a compass. We had to make sure we measured it correctly so at the end we used a ruler to check it. When I measure my last concentric circle I measured a 7.3 so it was incorrect. At first I it was quit hard and I made a mistake but as I kept on going it got easier. I really enjoyed this lesson and I hope to do it again.
