Omaru Creek metaphor poem

Rebecca is the old wooden bridge that helps people get across to the other side.

Rebecca is a calm and lazy old eel sleeping inside the water.

Rebecca is the strong trees trying to prevent the soil from getting washed away.

Today for maths I was learning reciprocal fractions. I finally understand reciprocal fractions. All you have to do is swap the denominator with the numerator. I found it easy to understand this and move from each question.

Get New Zealand Writing - Opened package

collage.jpg
Today we received an exciting package from Grey Main School. My favourite part of it was their longest word and there longest word was “pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis”. My favourite part on the postcard was corian Kitchen is a dolphin defending her territory. The thing you did different to ours was that you coloured yours in and it made it look pretty and colourful.

Statistical Investigation

Google map ScreenshotScreenshot 2017-03-07 at 10.18.28 AM.png

Walt:  conduct a statistical investigation.

We used google maps to determine the walking distance to 124 Apirana Avenue. This is the entrance to the Omaru Creek that we are studying. The screenshot shows the route, distance and time from my house to the creek is 700m to get there and it also takes 9 minutes to get there. Jolie lives the close it is 550m to walk to 124 Apirana Avenue and it takes 7 minutes to get there. Harrison lives furthest so he has to train to Glen Innes then it will take him 7 minutes to get there and 550m to walk to 124 Apirana Avenue and it takes. Next, we will be calculating the mean and the median.

Being good with my money

collage.jpg
Today I have learnt about being good with my money. I can be good with my money by saving it for emergencies. In the future I will try my hardest to make good decisions with my money. I will give advice to my siblings because they spend their money a lot instead of saving it. Anina did well teaching me me on how to be good with my money.
