How we hear

How do we hear sounds?  The sound enters the ear canal and causes the eardrum to vibrate. Vibration pass through 3 connected bones in the middle ear. This motion sets fluid through the inner ear.Screenshot 2014-07-22 at 14.30.33.png

Netball training session , today

Netball training session , today
1. Today straight after morning tea Room 9 went out on to the school netball court to train for netball. Our coach introduced herself to the class room and she said her name was Donna. But before we went on the court we had to take our jumpers off.

2. Before we started to train we first had to warm up so we played a game called friendly fire. Friendly fire is a warm up game. When the coach says friendly you have to throw the ball but friendly and when Donna says fire you have to throw the ball and try to hit your partners ankle and if you hit your partners ankle you get a point. When we finished playing friendly fire we played a different game  and when you play this game you would need to thow the ball into the hula hoop and if you do you get a point for your team. The people who got the most points was the blue team because they won 4 rounds. When we finished playing the game we just played a game which is when you get two balls and you have to throw the ball and catch it. Some people had accidents because they
threw the ball at their faces when they were not looking at the ball.
3. When we finished training it was time for us to get in a circle so we did that and we put our hands together and we made up Room 9 is the best for our chreer. When we were walking to class I felt happy because I got to do somethings that were fun.

Tane's diary

                     Tane’s Diary
Day 1. One sunny day I was in my house saying goodbye to everyone because I was leaving Hawaii and I told my family that I was not going alone and that I was going with  Elijah my best friend so after that my friend and I were packing lots of food and lots of water and  spares and a tent in case we find somewhere to stay. After that we all said a pray before we went and said goodbye for the last time and then Elijah and I left in the waka. Screenshot 2014-06-17 at 12.44.32.png

Day 5. On day five Elijah and I reached Samoa and so we got off the waka and started walking to see if we could put down our tent and have a nap but we saw a little boy and we said hi and asked if he knew any where to stay but he couldn't understand us so he just left he told us to come with him but in sign language so we followed him to where he was leading us and after we followed him we saw heaps of samoans surrounding us with there spares and ropes to trap us up and  next these two men got a rope and tied us up then they put us in their dungeon  until night had come and me and my friend explained everything to the people who was watching us to see if we could escape but they didn't believe us so they went to get the person who found Samoa and we had to explain it all over again and then they believed us. And after that they told us that they would let us out of there dungeon and they did but after that they told us to don’t come back to their village so we didn’t go back ever again. Then we set off for another journey.

Day 7. 2 days later it was day 7 and when it was day 7 Elijah and I found another island and it was called the Cook island so when we found the Cook Island Elijah and I decided to go and see if we could find a place to have a nap because we were so tired and we stayed up until 2 days to see if we reached an island and we did so we just got out of the waka and started walking and when we were walking we were where the Cook Islands were staying and the next thing you know they all were surrounding us with there spares and the next thing you know these two men tied us up again and told us to sit down so we did and the two men were asking us questions and then the other men went to get the person who found the Cook island and he also was asking us questions and then he told us to explain why we came to the Cook Island and we told them we came because we were travelling the Cook Island because we were so tired we decided to take a nap on this Island but we did not know your people live here so we promise if you let us go we will not come back to your village and we will go somewhere else so the man believed us and he told us to go away and don’t come back so we didn't go back Elijah and I kept on moving forward until we found another place to stay.

Day 12. 5 days latter and Elijah and I found somewhere to stay and it was called New Zealand so we decided to go for a walk so that we could find a place to have a nap in our tent so we walked and we walked until we saw people and we asked gentle if we could stay here and have nap and they said yes so we got out our tent and set it and when we were finished we went inside our tent and had a nap when we woke up it was nearly night and I was happy I got to stay and have a nap and after we had a nap we went to our waka and grabbed some food so that we could eta and after that we folded our tent and said and thank you for letting us stay and when we were walking they asked us to stay and you can go when you want to so we stayed and we were happy we got stay in New Zealand and leave when we want to Elijah and I said thank you to the people and they said you welcome.

Day 13. It was a beautiful day when all of us woke up  It felt like I was in Hawaii but I wasn't because I was in New Zealand I felt lucky I was in NZ and I was happy to even Elijah felt the same as I do and we also felt like they were our family but they weren’t because they were our friends. When we woke up we had to sit in a circle and get to Know each other like saying your name and telling what your favorite food is and what your favorite animal is. when we finished getting to know each other some of us went for a swim and some of us were watching.

My learning in Maths

This is what I learnt in maths today.
I learnt how to do pictograph.
For are pictograph there were tally’s and the answer to the tally was 12 so we had to right down 12 and on the bottom there was a pitcher of an apple and we had to drag the apple to the lane and it had to be 12 apples on the lane.
