Cook Island Language Week

collage.jpg

Today after morning tea a group of people came from the Auckland museum to teach us about the Cook Island history and culture. I found learning about their culture very interesting. I learnt what they used to make a vaka ara and what they use for glue. My favourite part was when some of the kids had to figure out how to use one of the tools and they were struggling but they manage to find out how it works.

Kia orana Rebecca,
WOW! Your collage is amazing. It was amazing when people came to our school from the Auckland museum and told us about some Cook Island history. Also the tools that was used to make vaka ara and what they used as glue. What do you think was the most interesting part about the Cook Island history.
