Estimation maths

In room 8 we were learning estimation of many parts of a cob of corn. My partners were Camillie and Margaret. I found the learning challenging because we kept on wild guessing and our estimation was no where near the answer. The skills you need to know for estimation is to use tidy numbers and rounding off. I think that working in a group is much easier because you have more people to help you with anything you have difficulties with. Next I would like to learn how to convert fractions to decimals.

I really enjoyed your writing about estimating sweet corn. And was it tiring counting the silks, were you bored or was it fun.
