Room 8 haiku

IMG_1320.JPG
For the past few days room 8 and I have been learning about Haiku.Haiku is a traditional poem that only has:
  • Three lines
  • 17 syllables: first line 5 syllables, second line 7 syllables and last line 5 syllables.
  • And you have to use seasonal reference.
I enjoyed writing the haiku in a group. This is my group haiku:
     Clouds emptied the sky,
Waves crashing onto the rocks

      Blanketing the sand

Wow!, I love your guys haiku poem. And your season is Summer. I like how you said that it is a traditional poem. I also did a haiku poem but it's probably a simple one. What did you enjoy the most about creating your own haiku poem?
