Screenshot 2016-11-23 at 12.55.36 PM.png

To for our learning we did enlargement. Our whole lesson was about scale factor. We had to enlarge a picture by drawing it. We had to count the grids and draw the picture exactly the same. The picture I drew was very challenging but I enjoyed it. I hope to do this again. Next I would like to enlarge another picture like a T.rex.

Finding my why

Today we were doing planning framework: finding Your Why. My poem is below. It is about what is my why and it is to be a rugby player.

My dream and passion is to play rugby like my older siblings
If I become a rugby player it would be very thrilling
Hopefully in the future I would get a contract and make my family proud
And I can say “I did it” and scream it out loud

To get there I would attend every training
I won’t be complaining
I will run in the mornings

And I will not stop and start walking

Today for maths we did creating cubes. We had to get in to groups of three or two. In my group it was Trinity and I. I enjoyed doing this and in my group we made six. I am very proud of our work and I hope to do this again.

IMG_1320.JPG
For the past few days room 8 and I have been learning about Haiku.Haiku is a traditional poem that only has:
  • Three lines
  • 17 syllables: first line 5 syllables, second line 7 syllables and last line 5 syllables.
  • And you have to use seasonal reference.
I enjoyed writing the haiku in a group. This is my group haiku:
     Clouds emptied the sky,
Waves crashing onto the rocks

      Blanketing the sand

For reading I played a game called Hurricane Reading Comprehension. For me this game was quit hard because because some of the question were very hard to anwser and some were easy to anwser. I enjoyed playing this game I will definantly play this game in my free time.

Converting metric units

Screenshot 2016-11-02 at 9.24.49 AM.png

For maths I played a game called convert cup to quarts.  It was very difficult to understand how to play this game. It was very hard to move from each level to another. I will definitely play this game again.
